You will lead the people You have redeemed with Your faithful love; You will guide them to Your holy dwelling with Your strength. Exodus 15:13
Redemption theme is the subject of all praises and joy and excitement in christians life. Without that hope there will be no vibe in the life of sin and despair. This life here on earth has no good to offer, instead it is full of pain and sorrows discouraging. That is what we get from the devil all the time, no wonder there are many cases of suicide today. These are people who thought their choices would give them something better in life but soon or later realized their lived are in vain and aded nowhere.
All earthly choices of pleasure and enjoyment are but a doze of opium meant to paralyze their victims from the hope of life in Christ. They will remain in the state of numbness unless they find their salvation in Him who died for them. If they are not rescued in good time they will die sad, discouraged and hopeless. But those who have received Christ have a song in their heart it is heard in their passing, their work, their day to day living. It may not be audible but it can be felt in their rhythm of daily routine, it can be seen on their face, and it can be heard in their tone, their harm, and in their laughter. “We have been redeemed by a costly ransom. Only by the greatness of this ransom can we conceive of its results.” COL 296
Exodus 15:1-21 is a song that expresses the joy in God’s deliverance. There was a song every time there was a deliverance that amazed the people. God was doing His work of delivering Israelites from their terrible condition and in the process many minor deliverances took place along the main deliverance; like the one at the Red Sea where the army of Pharaoh was drowned, and when they conquered many battled and a occupied the promised land. “Often on the journey was this song repeated, cheering the hearts and kindling the faith of the pilgrim travelers.” The Voice in Speech and Song p.446. Even when God punished evil doers and rebellious individuals in their midst it was deliverance driven by His love. Singing will continue to reveals the overwhelming joy that come over those who are delivered from a terrible ordeal.
I also have the song of my redemption because I have been redeemed, and I know how it feels to be redeemed. I pray my song will be heard and seen and felt by others as a testimony. I experience His redemption everyday through forgiveness, the joy of life, the change in me and His acceptance of me. I see it in opportunities and privileges He extends to me daily, I see it in His word. I feel it in His companionship of the Holy Spirit and the presence of His angels. I feel it in my answered prayers. My redemption is happening to me daily and I praise God for it. “For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.” 1 Peter 1:18, 19
