Vision , God’s Will

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Proverbs 29:18

William Murdock .. “But he had an ambition to be something more than a country mason.” -Smiles, Samuel. “Men of Invention and Industry.”

Here is the irony of vision and sight: you can have vision even when you cannot see. You can have sight yet lack vision. This is why you find in the word of God saying they have eyes but cannot see.. Vision in planning for the family, vision in performing your work, vision in all aspects of life is key to success.

Vision is a common word in planning and strategies for development. It guides the organization in their work in their achievements in their expected outcome. Vision is considered to be where in development and achievements the organization would like to be in years to come. Christian journey is much that way; how could you accept to be disciplined in life as a disciple of Christ, to deny yourself of the worldly goodies in order to gain eternal life? just as the word of God says, “For what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world yet lose his life?” Mark 8:36 So vision is associated with good results good outcomes, better circumstances in the future?

The main text provides the solution which is anchored in the vision. Those who sees themselves in heaven, leaving with the saints, the new heavy and new earth, would not be careless with their living today, they will obey God,s law and look forward to be redeemed and restored. That person will inherit new earth, will not loose their lives. But those who live for their own pleasure, enjoying today without a vision for the better tomorrow will eventually loose their lives.

We are advised to “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. “Luke 13:24. It is only those with a vision of their redemption to strive in this life because they have a purpose and a goal to attain. That strive is because there is a deliberate move by the devil to disrupt the spiritual visionaries from attaining their goal. E. G. White said, “They have so long been under the shadow of the enemy, that they view truth as men behold objects through a smoked and imperfect glass; for all things are dark and perverted in their eyes. Their spiritual vision is feeble and untrustworthy; for they look upon the shadow, and turn away from the light.” – Christian Education p.86

May God give us the vision of the life that is ours in Him.
