Looming Separation

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Romans 8:35

One hunting tactic used by the predators like lions and wild-dogs is to scheme their attack. By selecting their target and taking their positions they carryout an ambush which creates a panic. While all the animals would scatters and flee for their lives the targeted animal find itself isolated and is no longer part of the group security. The predators are then focused on only one target so they pursue it with all their strength and resources. Once isolated the target is vulnerable and nearly helpless against the pack of wild-dogs or lioness. Their consolidated attack on an isolated target is easier and often rewarded with a kill.

While an antelopes, a zebra or wilder-beast can not stand a chance against a lion, they have strength while together. A pack of gazelles can spot a potential danger before it is too late and escape it. Even when an ambush is launched on an entire pack of gazelles without isolation scheme and without consolidated efforts

Satan applies the same tacks to pursue God’s people. He is a predator and we, mankind are his target. No wonder Paul use the word ‘separate’ having realized that Satan’s scheme is to separate us from God, at that point we become vulnerable and easy target. He also deploys all necessary resources in order to achieve his target. His soul purpose is to isolate and separate us from our Creator God; that is his mission. Like cancer the only way we can avoid cancer effect and eventually death, is to stop the cells from dividing. The cells division is the cause for the increased cancer cells in the body whose result is death the its host. The devil attacks all units bonded by God; the family, the church, marriage, etc. He does not like unity in Christ it is threat to his mission.

“So long as they remained united, the church would go forth “fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners.” Song of Solomon 6:10. Nothing could withstand her onward progress. The church would advance from victory to victory, gloriously fulfilling her divine mission of proclaiming the gospel to the world.” – {Acts of Apostles p.90}
