Proof of God

Seeing that ye seek a proof of Christ that speaketh in me; who to you- ward is not weak, but is powerful in you: 2 Corinthians 13:3
The wisdom of this world is in fact a stumbling block of faith to many. The worldly wisdom which is of man ‘s makeup has made people believe that they need a human designed proof for each and every thing including matters of faith. People throughout ages have been looking for proofs of God’s existence. People needed proof of Jesus from other sources even when Jesus was physically there, their source of proof made them miss out the presence of Messiah. They were instead busy looking for proofs of who he was and whether he is truly Jesus. We also have an example of the doubting Thomas, a disciple of Jesus representing people who need a proof of Jesus.
“Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and see my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and put it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20:27-29
Thomas was basically saying he cannot believe that Jesus is alive, and that he could now appear to them in a manner that suggests he is divine. He represented the generation of those who would seek proofs in exchange for faith. If the generation of believers living in the 21st century would be like Thomas then there would be a problem of faith in Christ since He is not here in person physically to be seen and touched as did to Thomas on demand. Jesus rebuked that spirit for the sake of the generations that would exist long after Christ’s ascension to heaven by saying blessed are they that believe without seeing. The same was applicable for those who lived years before Christ was born yet they believed that Christ will be born and will make it possible for their sins to be forgiven and cleansed. That through Christ who will come, they have hope of eternal life and they believed and were counted worthy.
“The faith of Thomas would have been more pleasing to Christ if he had been willing to believe upon the testimony of his brethren. Should the world now follow the example of Thomas, no one would believe unto salvation; for all who receive Christ must do so through the testimony of others.” – Desire of Ages p.807 This means the world will come to believe through the testimony of others about Christ. God has used people throughout ages, to give others the most needed message of salvation and based on this avenue many have believed are awaiting Christ’s second return and their reward of eternal life.

  1. It is true that belief is the master, and thus in turn if true proof of God is discovered and presented to the religious folk, it is immediately flogged, scourged, and crucified.

Long ago Jesus Christ was placed before a group of religious “Believers” who also placed beliefs and disbeliefs first in line rather than place truth first in line. In turn they spat in his face, flogged him, scourged him, and crucified him, all for speaking and being the truth.

True proof of God’s existence is found hidden within the Bible. But this has been completely ignored, rejected, or worse, for years on end by the religious “Believer”. Thus the religious believers condemn both the Bible and God himself. WOW!
